Our Austin Trip

Eli and I are finally home from our long (and prolonged) trip to visit my sister's family in Austin, Texas. We were gone a little over 2-1/2 weeks. There isn't much to report really. My sister Erika in at the end of her 3rd trimester with little baby Oliver so we tried to stick around home most of the time. Here are some pictures:

She's 18 months old and was cutting molars and eye teeth at the same time. Poor girl was miserable! She has such beautiful light hair with her dark 1/2 Dominican skin!
Gonna be a heart-breaker, that girl...

This is the first time Eli was able to hold a toy. I was so happy to catch it on camera!

GC tickling Eli. He was so cute with Eli. Every morning he would walk up to me and say, "I like my cousin," then he'd touch Eli's head and get a big grin and say, "He has red hair...it's cute!" And when he'd hear Eli crying GC would announce, "He wants me! I'm coming!" LOL

One day I taught GC how to make a crown. Then later I made a scepter for him using aluminum foil and a wooden spoon (he loved that cuz it meant one less spanking spoon)...

Last night we came home - Daddy was SO ready to have wife and child back.

And Eli has liked being back home safe - and in his own bed...
